One heck of a Party

And it was one heck of a party! Members refreshing friendships, many stories from back “in the day” and renewed hopes for a fun and successful 2016 season. Commodore Webb turned over the helm to Commodore Donaldson so, here we go. Your 2016 Bridge is made up with George Yergar – Vice CO, Beth Jones – Treas/Sec, James Carson (Past CO) – Race Officer and CO John Webb – Membership and Immediate Past CO.
The event began with social hour in the Red Apple Inn bar at 5 PM then moved into the dining room at 6 PM. We did things a little different by allowing members to order from the menu instead of a buffet. The changing of the flags ceremony was short and sweet. In the beginning we had 14 RSVPs but, when all was said and one the count went to 36. It was an excellent dinner meeting and well worth the cost of admission.

Now, here comes our first special event on Saturday 19 MAR. It’s Clean-Up – Fix-up Weekend. What does that mean? Well there are several boats on our docks crying for a make-over. Bring your mop and bucket. There are minor repairs to work on and oh, those wenches that squeak oh so loudly. When did you change your oil last and when did you check your dock lines last? Stuff like that…general maintenance. There will be people who can collaborate with you on problems and at least point you in the right direction to get things ship-shape. Several vendors have been invited to visit and consult with us. Meet on Q dock from 11:00 to 1:00.

So come on out, renew friendships and enjoy the day. Mexican anyone….
